An ecosystem of products (Credit Card, Debit Card, Loans, Service) built for those who expect more. This project spanned research, design, and development.
Responsibilities: Product Manager, Experience Designer (App, Service, Packaging, Credit Card), Product Designer, Researcher, Visual Strategist.
Context
In 2023, we noticed a trend: high-income users were getting our credit card but weren’t using it. After digging, we discovered that they were interested in a 100% bank, but the product didn’t offer enough value for where they were in their financial journey.But planning for a dive, can be troublesome.
To put it like Carlos, said: “Qik was the bank I needed 10 years ago.”
This segments of users didn’t need help getting started, they weren’t beginners. They were Pros.
Opportunity - aha moment
With this high traffic of users from this segments, we started to lookd at the products they were using and found a clear trend:
Increased credit line usage.
Increase monthly spending.
Non-credit revenue grew.
Brand perception improved.
But we also saw clear pain points: Platinum users felt the chassis was overpriced, while Black users had rewards that didn’t feel rewarding, revealing a gap and an opportunity to build something better for both.
